Recent Productions at the Fillmore Town Theatre
The Fillmore Town Theatre is an amazing location for film production and photography. The interior main auditorium has not been restored meaning it can be painted or altered however an art director prefers. The only exception is permanently altering the 325 theater seats. The seats can be removed as needed, but must be returned to their original positions.
The exterior of the theatre was painted in November of 2024 and cannot be painted for production. However, the letters on the marquee and the posters in the exterior poster holders can be changed.
The interior of the lobby was painted also in 2024 but we can negotiate changing the color as long as it is painted back to its original color. Walls for all other areas, including the stairwells, second floor hall, projection room, utility room and office can be painted any color.
The theater includes a free-standing exterior ticket booth, lobby, main floor, balcony, second story hallway, office, utility room (with a restaurant standard 3-compartment sink), basement, live stage with flyaway projection screen, moving LED stage lights, 35mm projector, 4k projector, motorized curtains, functional concession stand with working popcorn maker, partially lit marquee, and two ADA bathrooms.

Behind the Scenes
In 2022, CBS show “SWAT” used the entire theater for a foot chase scene. Starting from the alley in back, bursting across the stage, up the isle to the lobby and out the front door before the bad guy is tackled. The episode aired in May, 2022. Click on any photo to see a larger version.
Also in 2022, the ABC show , “The Rookie”, used the front of the theatre for several scenes. The episode will air in the spring of 2023. Click on any photo to see a larger version.
At the same time as “The Rookie” was shooting outside, a music video for up and coming singer/musician Cota was being shot inside. Cota is on Danny Trejo‘s record label and Trejo joined Cota in the video! Click on any photo to see a larger version. Check out the video below:
